Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) Punjab is a premier educational institute. It has been established by the State Legislature of Punjab by Punjab Act No.12 of 2006.

About RGNUL Exagium: Essays on Classics 

RGNUL Exagium is an online International Essay Writing Competition for Undergraduates, Postgraduates and Research Scholars from diverse disciplines.

With an objective to enhance the reading, writing and analytical skills of the students, RGNUL Exagium attempts to engage the Undergraduates and Postgraduates in the reading of Classics.

The classics penned by eminent authors and personalities imply continuance and consistency. The reading of such texts is of great significance to the young people as they get enlightened about various issues. It also enables them to understand the contemporary times.

The last date to submit essays is March 2.

Registration fee is Rs. 1000 and Rs. 1500 (in case of co-authors).

Prizes:

  • 1st Prize: 7000 INR
  • 2nd Prize: 5000 INR
  • 3rd Prize: 3000 INR

The Centre for Advanced Studies in Criminal Law, RGNUL, presents SURANA AND SURANA INTERNATIONAL ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION, 2017.

Theme: JUVENILES AND THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM.

Eligibility

  • The Competition is open to the students who are pursuing their B.A.LLB./LL.M./Ph.D./M.Phil. or any other Undergraduate or Master courses (other than Law) in any university across the World.
  • If any Student of the RGNUL is positioned amongst the top three, he/she will not be eligible for the top three prizes but will be felicitated in recognition of his/her performance with a special prize by the Surana and Surana International Attorneys, Chennai at the valedictory function.

Submission Guidelines

The participants should Email their papers to suranaessay2017@gmail.com with the following attachments:

  1. Essay in MS Word format with subject “Essay Competition” – Name of Author(s)
  2. Registration form (given here), Declaration form (given here)
  3. Cover page containing name of participant, Nationality, address, e-mail-id, contact number and name of college/university with address and class.

Awards

  • First Prize: Rs. 25,000
  • Second Prize: Rs. 15,000
  • Third Prize: Rs. 10,000

The last date for submission of the essay is 5th January, 2017.
